Q: Do I need to be on a particular network?
A: On2Chat is available on the WAP service of most Canadian network users including, Rogers Wireless, Bell Mobility, Virgin Mobile, and Fido. This service is also available on other networks in Canada, but because it is anonymous you are not aware of the network others are using.

Q: Do I need a particular kind of cellular phone?
A: No. Most cellular telephones today are WAP capable.

Q: How much does it cost to use On2Chat?
A: On2Chat's WAP service is billed according to your carrier's normal WAP billing procedure.

Q: Do I have to sign-in each time I use On2Chat?
A: Some carriers have enabled us to use the auto sign-on feature of our service. If you are prompted to log in, you will need to do so.

Q: Can I choose the same nickname as someone else?
A: No, you can't. If you try to do so, you will be asked to enter another name.

A: You can change your nickname as often as you want to. You will be able to do so on your personal home page.

A: You can only be in one room at a time. Buit other users can send maessages to you at any time, even if they are in other rooms, simply by sending you a private message.

A: Simply exit the room you are in, and exit the system. You will be taken back to your carrier's main WAP page

Q: I turned my phone off, will that stop messages from arriving?
A: As long as you are out of the system, you will not be aware of any new messages coming in. If people send you messages while you are away, they will be waiting for you when you return. Return often so you don't miss any!

Q. Am I always going to receive messages when the cell phone is turned on?
A. No, as long as you exit the system, the messages will just be stored for you until you log back in.

Q. Can I cancel a message after it has been sent?
A. No, once you hit the send key, you cannot retrieve or cancel a message.

Q: Will any other people know my cellular phone number?
A: No. On2Chat is an anonymous service based on nicknames. As such, other people will only know you by your nickname.

Q: Are the nicknames case-sensitive?
A: No

Q: Can someone else impersonate me?
A: Your nickname is unique. In order to 100% impersonate someone the other user will need your phone. There are, however, some situations that may cause confusion:

1) If one user registers "ROMEO" or "romeO" (i.e. both with the capital letter "O" at the end) and another user registers "ROME0" or "rome0" both with a zero at the end)
2) If a user who registers "ROMEO" quits the system and another person then registers for the name "ROMEO", then users who have contacted the first owner will not know. There is no incubation period.

A: You can use On2Chat wherever you have access to the network via roaming.
